Henco; a revolutionary new multilayer pipe system from one of Europe’s leading
MLCP (Multilayer Composite Pipe) and fittings manufacturers, incorporates many revolutionary features as part of both its design and molecular construction that set it apart from the competition. Henco MLCP is manufactured using a layer of butt welded aluminium and also has additional inner and outer layers of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). The aluminium layer not only gives the pipe high temperature, pressure performance and shape retaining properties; it provides a guaranteed oxygen barrier.
The key economic benefit lies in the sheer flexibility of Henco, for example, the 14-26mm pipe can achieve a minimum bend radius of three times the pipe’s outside diameter. No thermal memory means the Henco pipe can be used in many situations, from underfloor heating to tight restricted corners under baths/sinks, and with a reduced number of fittings, which makes for cost savings in terms of materials and less time on site for the installer. For the end user, the Henco system offers a long working life, greatly reduced system noise and speed and efficiency in installation.
Henco also boasts a range of complementary fittings, offering excellent mechanical strength, reliability and resistance. The Henco press-fit fittings, manufactured from either injection mould Polyvinylidene Fluoride (PVDF) or plated brass fittings both are available in a wide range of configurations, from 14mm up to 63mm, providing maximum choice for installers. The fittings incorporate a stainless steel press sleeve and insertion depth window to ensure the pipe is fully inserted.
The heat free crimped jointing system enhances the installation speed and with no need for a hot works permit, further reduces the costs of the overall job.
The Henco pipe and fittings system is suitable for a diverse range of domestic and commercial applications, including drinking water, heating systems, compressed air, food and medical situations and for use with various chemical liquids. Henco can deliver consistent operating temperatures at 95°c (with a spike of 110°c) and pressure rated at 10 bar – a feat not all systems can match.
The Henco range is wide and comes in a variety of sizes. The pipe has a comprehensive range of coils from 14mm to 32mm or in straight lengths of 3m and 5m. Manifolds and a full range of accessories are also offered. The Henco system comes with all the standard approvals, including WRAS and offers a 30 year guarantee against manufacturing defects.
