To lead, help, coach, train, motivate and inspire your team to perform their daily duties in the safest and most efficient way. Ensure the team understand production schedule requirements for their shift and organise/prioritise workloads for individuals in the team.

Through implementing personal and team measures for the Production team you will collate, input, review and give feedback to your team on performances on a regular basis. You will ensure all consumables are available (checking stocks as required) and reorder as necessary to keep the process running.

Complete administrative duties to provide production records and attendance records, using this information to compile reports which you will then feed back to Group Leader/Factory Manager.

Support the Head of Valves and Fittings and other Team Leaders in driving continuous improvement throughout the operations and encourage open communication within the team.

The role will involve working on a three-shift schedule with Days (06:00-14:00), Nights (22:00-06:00) and Afters (14:00-22:00)

• Ensure Company Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures are adhered to at all times (internal and external to their areas of control). Report and deal with any issues via appropriate company policies & procedures.
• Organise and facilitate training to comply with HSE//ISO14001 requirements.
• Schedule training to support employee progression and development in line with the annually reviewed skills matrixes.
• Review daily performances, communicating to the team on current position and respond to performance issues in progressive way.
• Carry out effective communication to direct reports related to area of control and any feedback from Exec team on Company performance/notifications.
• Execute plans in a timely manner prioritising resources where necessary.
• Review/investigate/highlight non-conformance & waste throughout their area of control and initiate programmes to reduce.
• Work with Head of Valves and Fittings to install and achieve departmental KPIs and achieve budget performances and to lead/support with operational excellence projects.
• Lead by example to promote continuous improvement and questioning the norm.
• Work with all functions to help drive improved performance.
• Carry out all personnel related processes/procedures for direct reports e.g. absence, timekeeping, performance, training and development, recruitment etc.
• Promote and facilitate good housekeeping throughout their area of control using (5s) principles with their teams.
• Check and order consumables on a regular basis to ensure continuity of production.
• Required to be hands on to help achieve required outputs and look for opportunities.
• Any other duties commensurate with the grade and nature of this position.
