Technical Questions - General

We do not advise the use of any jointing compound on a standard compression fitting used on water supply systems. There may be a need to apply jointing compound to fittings used on gas systems. In this instance we recommend the joint is made first, dis-assembled, the jointing compound applied, then the joint is re-made as this will prevent the compression olive from creating a false seal by compressing to the compound.
